Leukopaks
Our UK-based apheresis service provides fresh leukopaks, typically containing >10 billion total nucleated cells from each donor. Collections are tailored to researchers’ specific needs including a choice of HLA-type, sex, age, volume and shipment temperature. Delivery is available on the same day (location dependent) or the day following collection throughout Europe. Full, half and quarter fresh leukopaks can be supplied and frozen stock leukopaks are also available.
Our fresh leukopaks are ideal for applications such cell therapy research (e.g. CAR-T), toxicology studies and high-throughput drug screening, due to their highly concentrated cell counts.
PBMCs
Our PBMCs are isolated and frozen within 5 hours of blood collection to ensure optimal cell viability and functionality. Cells are isolated from leukopaks or whole blood using Ficoll density gradient centrifugation and are generally frozen in CryoStor® CS10, a defined cryopreservation medium which has been shown to offer excellent protection of cells stored at low temperatures.
Our PBMC isolation service can be tailored to each researchers’ specific needs including a choice of donor profile (including HLA type), cell count, volume, format, shipment temperature. Delivery is available on the same in the UK (location dependent), or next day after collection across Europe. We have a large inventory of stock frozen PBMCs which can be searched and reserved online using the search tool below.
Whole blood
Our whole blood collection service is very flexible, offering researchers a wide range of fresh blood samples to suit their research application requirements.
We have access to large numbers of healthy donors from whom we collect fresh blood. We can offer a wide range of donor selection criteria, a choice of anticoagulants and shipment temperature.
Our consent form covers important research methods including consent to use samples in genetic analysis.
Delivery is available on the same day (location dependent) or next day delivery across Europe on the day after collection.
Plasma
Our plasma collection service is completely tailored to each researchers’ specific needs including a choice of volume, format, anticoagulant, shipment temperature and donor sex, age and blood group. Delivery is available on the next day after collection (location dependent). Stock frozen plasma is also available for next day delivery.
Serum
Our serum collection service is completely tailored to each researchers’ specific needs including a choice of volume, format, shipment temperature and donor sex, age and blood group. Delivery is available on the next day after collection (location dependent). Stock frozen serum is also available for next day delivery.
Buffy coat
Our buffy coat collection service is completely tailored to each researchers’ specific needs including a choice of volume, format, anticoagulant, shipment temperature and donor sex, age and blood group. Delivery is available on the next day after collection.
Red blood cells & leukocyte reduced red blood cells
Our red blood cell collection collection service is completely tailored to each researchers’ specific needs including a choice of volume, format, anti-coagulant, shipment temperature and donor sex, age and blood group. Delivery is available on the next day after collection (location dependent).
